Samet Samyeli

Hey, I’m Samet 👋 I’m a senior full-stack engineer and founder based in Istanbul. For 12+ years I’ve been designing and running production systems: async Python and TypeScript backends, PostgreSQL schemas, real-time event flows, and the Next.js/React products on top of them.

Activity

Currently building

• lodos.md: the company that runs itself: an AI team that learns your company and works across every department, while you make the decisions and nobody else can see your data. In closed beta. Read more.
• gazla.co: a startup community of 50,000+ people and 280+ startups, bootstrapped with zero funding.

Previously

• ACANIO: Led development of a clinical-grade, HIPAA-compliant brain and orthopedic MRI visualization platform used by physicians in active patient care. Built custom Cornerstone3D tools with WebGL and contributed a grayscale tool to the OHIF open-source viewer.
• NUEVO: Financial and enterprise platforms for Avivasa/Agesa and OTOKOÇ/OYAK.
• Akinon: E-commerce for Vakko, Koton, LC Waikiki and US Polo; core contributor to Akinext, a Next.js commerce framework with 70% faster performance than the legacy stack.
• T-Soft and Winnice: E-commerce storefronts and a full ERP system built from scratch.

Beyond code

• Co-founded the Open Software Network (AYA) during the 2023 Türkiye earthquakes: 25,000+ volunteer developers, building AfetHarita (used by AFAD) and deprem.io. Covered by TIME.
• Mediterranean ILCA sailing champion: 13 medals, 2 cups, racing since age six.

I write about software architecture, security and AI on the blog. Some of my work is on the projects page.
